Yesterday, I took my cameras to the Bob Beal Memorial Criterium race in Ninigret Park, Charlestown, Rhode Island. It is a great location with plento of parking and a small interesting circuit that is easy to walk around carrying a lot of camera gear. I could only stay for the first few races because I had to leave to photograph the Arm Wrestling competition at the Washington County Fair.
My goal at the Crit was to shoot some interesting images, and during the 3rd races – men 55+, I started panning at very slow speeds, down to 1/25th second to create a lot of motion blurr.
